Markets are part of an ancient tradition of Mexican culture. All neighbourhoods have one and there are all kinds of them: vegetables, food, clothing, witchcraft, flowers, etc. I shot these images in May 2016 at a food market in Mexico City, near the World Trade Centre building and close to the street where we were staying. It is a "very close" look at some dishes that were being prepared that day. What caught my attention were some products that I did not know and the vivid colours of the ingredients.
